Why do gay men work in women’s clothing stores? December 17, 2009

I’m not trying to be offensive if anyone thinks that. I just don’t get it. Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of gay men working in women’s clothing stores. I mean they’re gay, not cross dressers or transsexual, they wear men’s clothing. Wouldn’t they want to work in a men’s clothing store?
cherry babe: I know it’s their choice. I’m not complaining. I just don’t understand why they’d want to.

!its their choice. they prefer women’s section!!!
b/c they know alot about fasion.
idk?
I see women working in mens clothing and straight men working in womens clothing as well… does it really matter? its a job isnt it? Plus they are able to give a mans opinion. I know when i shop im more comfortable with the men workers because they arent intimidating…
Probably because since they are more like women, they want to be around them to talk and gossip, etc. Also, if they were to work at, say, Nevada Bob’s Golf…don’t you think they might be made fun of by the other men? They want exceptance, So why not work at Charlotte’s Russe where they can be around girly things and have fun!
Because they have great dress sense and are easily approachable.
I’ve been thinking the same thing – every Supre store has a homosexual kid working there…but they are very friendly so it could just be that they were the best for the job, or it could be a trend. i think maybe they dont work in men’s stores coz guy stores like to promote masculinity more…
Hmm…that’s true…I’ve noticed the same thing. Well my assumpation is that I noticed gay guys tend to be more comfortable around women than straight men. Well, I’m not gay so I’m not sure how to answer this question lol
because they are facinated by fashion just like women are ( no offense intended )
I agree with Morg, i think they have a great eye for fashion, and like to be around pretty girly things, therefore, why not work at a girls fashion boutique or the like? i mean i think they are more into their looks than regular straight men, like girls are, so if you were into cars, wouldn’t you want to work for a dealership or as a mechanic?
Simple answer:
Straight men can’t be trusted with women’s clothing. ^_^
fyi most feel more comfy around the gals rather than be mistreated by a bunch of homophobic assholes you know
PLAIN AND SIMPLE–THEY HAVE GREAT FASHION SENSE
Gay men simply hqave a great eye and a great sense of style. Is this something new for you, cause it’s been like this for years and years.
